MY EXPERIENCE
HELLO, I’M CYNTHIA HALL, WRITER, AUTHOR, AND CREATIVE PROFESSIONAL
For over 40 years, I have been shaping words into narratives that inform, inspire, and invite reflection. Five years ago, I decided to legitimize my efforts, earning my first byline in a local paper, and I’ve never looked back.
Since then:
The truth? I’m a creative gypsy at heart, equal parts dreamer and doer. My path hasn’t been linear—it’s zigzagged through career changes, cross-country moves, marriage, motherhood, caregiving, and the quiet (and not so quiet) moments in between. Each turn has fed my life, and as such, fed my work, adding layers, texture, depth, and empathy.
Whether at my writing desk, behind the keyboard, or in front of a design board, I search for the threads that connect us, weaving them into something of a tapestry.
My written work spans lifestyle features, essays, poetry, children’s stories, creative nonfiction, and historical fiction, but the through-line is always the same: a dedication to communication and to the people my words reach.
Every project I take on, for myself or in collaboration with others, begins with listening. I seek to understand not just the story, but the heartbeat behind it. That’s where the magic happens, when I tap into that heartbeat and translate it onto the page, print, or screen.

FELLOWSHIP & COLLABORATION
Books have always been at the center of my life…as lifelines, companions, and catalysts for change. Today, I write, edit, and create with the same conviction: that words have the power to inspire, connect, and transform. So when I ask myself, What can I do to better the world? Words immediately come to mind. And so…I endeavor to Change the World One Word at a Time.
Beyond my own writing, I’ve been deeply involved in the literary community seeking camaraderie, collaboration, and fellowship. I joined the Space Coast Writers Guild in 2022 and soon found myself immersed in leadership, serving as President from 2023–2025. During my tenure, I had the joy of crafting the Guild’s new tagline—Launching Writers to New Heights (winner of the 2023 Tagline Contest)—a phrase that continues to represent the Guild’s mission. I also spearheaded the Guild’s website redesign and now chair its first annual Book Fair, coming in February 2026.
I’m also a proud member of the National League of American Pen Women (Cape Canaveral Branch), where I served as Scholarship Chair, 2022–2023. Both organizations have given me the privilege of supporting and celebrating the creative voices of others, something I value as much as my own work.
At the heart of it all, my vision is simple: to weave spaces through language, culture, and community where creativity and connection thrive, with future projects already underway to expand this mission!
